Class focuses on Painting and Drawing Inspired by the Impressionists. Class will focus on learning about the techniques, colors and materials used by the impressionists. We will look at impressionist art and get inspired by their process and create works of art using acrylic, pastel and watercolor.

Class focuses on Drawing with a focus on abstraction and Modernism using pencil, ink, oil pastel, chalk pastel, charcoal, and collage with a focus on elements of composition and design. We will explore various elements of design and composition in a nonjudgemental warm community atmosphere. A delightful mixture of freedom and technique.

Rohnert Park Senior Center
Guided experiments teach students how different mixed media materials work and what effects they create. Use a variety of acrylic mediums, papers, collage, ink, pastel, rice paper, fabric and more. Add depth and visual interest to paintings with dimensional textures and learn how to incorporate interesting collage materials. Just the right blend of structure and play with an attitude of openness encourages creative freedom.
